International Hate Crime Day : Hope & Remembrance

23rd October 2010

We plan to repeat the event we held in Trafalgar Square last year, which 10,000 people attended, and to encourage people around the world to join us in a day of Hope & Remembrance for all victims of Hate Crime.

Our aims include:

  • a candle-lit vigil in the heart of London
  • encouraging similar events around the UK and the rest of the world
  • individuals taking part in their own homes
  • an International 2 minute silence at 8pm GMT

You can get invovled by speaking to the owners and promoters of your local community venues, by asking them to host an event. You could fundraise for us or other local Hate Crime initiatives.

If you can't take part in an organised event, then do something in your own home either alone or with friends. Join us by lighting a candle and observing the 2 minute silence.

Take photos of your event or candle and post it to out FACEBOOK event page or simply show your support by writing on our wall.
